Golden Spokes 2010

Last night I signed up for the 2010 Golden Spokes to be held at Champion Lakes Armadale. About the event below.

The annual GOLDEN SPOKES FUNDRAISING CHARITY RIDES offer a memorable day for all participants and raise much needed funds to help the registered charity Citizen Advocacy South Metropolitan (CASM) working for, and defending the rights and interests, of people with a disability in our community. You get a free raffle entry for each rider plus you could win some great prizes on the day.

The mix of events means bike riders of all standards can join in the day on a safe closed road circuit in country surroundings around the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, Kelmscott. With distances ranging from 10km to 80km, there is an event to suit everyone. Rides 20km and over are timed and you will be able to check your results online thanks to Cycling WA.

Hand Cyclists and riders with a disability are encouraged to take part.

I have entered to do the 80km indvidual course. I am hoping like hell my part gets here and I can have the new bike ready to ride by Saturday and at the latest Saturday afternoon. Would be good test to do this on the new bike. Plus show off factor 🙂
